On the observance of the International Day of Peace, we hosted a Jeffersonian Dinner for family offices and institutional investors to meet Shirin Ebadi, Leymah Gbowee, and Tawakkol Karman, who were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women’s rights.
These three heroic women shared their experiences and insights in meeting personal and global challenges and policies for a more peaceful, secure, and sustainable world.
At the dinner, the women shared that it was the first time they had ever been invited to such a gathering of investors.
Peace is underfunded, and we like to think that our dinner helped to raise consciousness that sustainable investing cannot happen without peace.
